I have a special relationship with Smashbox Photofinish. It's the very first primer I ever purchased. In fact, I believe I still have the first one I bought (it was in the old air pump packaging) somewhere in my apt.
I remember the ah-ha moment I had when I used the Photofinish on a model for the first time for a makeup test with my friend Amy, a great photographer, and I never worked with out a primer ever again.
Many people are unaware that Smashbox is a brand that was developed to help professional makeup artists solve problems and resolve issues that arise while creating makeup looks for use on camera. For me, as an artist, this is of particular importance, as much of my work is for photography and video and not generally for day to day.
