LORAC was always a brand that floated around on the sidelines of my interest. I saw it in many places, and in the kits of fellow artists in the past, but I never had the opportunity to really get my hands into it. Just a few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to meet Carol Shaw, the creator (and, as it turns out, the namesake) of LORAC.
LORAC was born from Carol's personal desire to affect change in the ingredients and improve not only the exterior beauty of those who choose to wear and use them, but also the quality of their health. The majority of makeup artists I personally know and work with have their share of product horror stories, and learned hard lessons about cosmetics on the job, but most are fortunate to not have actually suffered from a makeup induced "situation" personally. As a person who has a variety of health sensitivities, it was heartening to find that Carol and I commonly shared a concern and awareness which stemmed from our own experiences. Carol's mission to create healthier alternatives in cosmetics is a direct result of her own need to find beauty solutions which were not harmful for herself.
I love that.
For the second day of Christmas, LORAC is working with me to offer my favorite pick from their holiday collection, the LORAC Rockin'Red Hot 3D Liquid Lustre set. It's four little bottles of glittery liquid goodness that stays on like no one's business. I recently had the opportunity to use them on a client and the finish is absolutely gorgeous! It reminds me of those little foil wrapped chocolates you find in your Christmas stocking at the holiday parties in grade school.
Also, as a huge bonus, I got to have a fun chat with LORAC pro artist Dean Fournier where he shared his favorite holiday experiences with me and some great, quick and easy solutions to spice up your holiday party look. Swing by Examiner.com to get all his tips!
You can test out some LORAC yourself, on LORAC and me. Enter the rafflecopter below to have a chance to win LORAC's Rockin' Red Hot 3D Liquid Lustre set.
Please use a contact that you check frequently! I need to be able to get hold of you if you do win. I promise all information collected will only be used for this contest!
