After a super busy work day, I came home to a wonderful surprise:
Leandra Medine AKA The Manrepeller put together a winter survival kit in collaboration with my friends at Glossy Box. I really love the star tissue paper |
I love beauty box subscription services! It's like getting a present in the mail every, single, time!
Glossy Box did a special "winter survival kit" collaboration with The Manrepeller for January. I'd like to take a moment here to point out how particularly interesting the choice in partnership is, since Leandra is well-known as a fashion blogger, but not so much for her beauty prowess. However, I do have to give Leandra and Glossy Box some props since I am thoroughly enjoying the result.
Underneath a cute little message card from MR and layer of festive, star sprinkled tissue I found a great assortment of products.
The first thing that caught my attention after ripping the MR sticker off and tossing the little ribbon to Bijoux, was the Tarte Glamazon lipstick in Fierce. I am a firm believer in red lipstick as a go to for any season. Also, as a makeup artist, there is never enough red lipstick to fill your kit.
The Opi Liquid Sand in Can't Let Go was a close second. I am more of a pinkie nudie kinda girl, but purple is my favorite color. I'm planning to break it out on a day when I am feeling adventurous.
Even though I am not 100% sure how the Fresh Umbrian Clay serum fits into a winter routine, I was excited to see it. I've been eyeing all of the Umbrian Clay items at Fresh for quite some time now. And, I've heard amazing things about the Sebastian Potion 9. I've always been more of a color cosmetic and skincare junkie and slow to try new hair products, so this gives me no excuse to give it a test whirl.
Bijoux approved. She enjoyed the January Glossy Box as much as I did. |
